Silence the stress of the holidays
I may be biased, but after a weekend of battling crowds at the mall and boutiques across the Queen City, news of a relaxing and interesting sake tasting was music to my ears. Sidebar: My favorite part of my exploits this weekend? Seeing a frazzled looking soccer mom (who'd more or less completely lost control of her children and Christmas list) look around an aisle in a bustling chain-store and just say, "F***."
I digress. If you haven't yet braved the crowds, I'm sorry for you, as you totally know they'll only get worse. But whether you're just starting your shopping or putting it off, Yama Asian Fusion's sake tasting this Wednesday, December 11, from 6 to 8 PM, promises to offer a lovely reprieve from the insanity.
Sake, if you aren't familiar, is a Japanese alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice. It is sometimes called rice wine but is actually more similar to beer in the way it is brewed. Yama Asian Fusion will be offering five varieties of sake for their Wednesday evening tasting, including: Kiminoi Emperors Well Ginjo Sake; Kurosawa Sake Daiginjo Premium Reserve; Kurosawa Sake Junmai Kimoto; Manotsuru Junmai Ginjo Genshu Sake; and Ten to Chi Heaven & Earth JD Sake.
To make your reservations, call Yama Asian Fusion at 704-295-0905 or visit the website.
