Solstice Tavern Closes in NoDa

The NoDa business Solstice Tavern has closed. A post from the 12-year-old spot says the shuttering is "due to circumstances beyond our control." The bar and grill is known for one of Charlotte’s most beloved patios—and in recent years, a distinctive Nick Napoletano mural facing Davidson Street.

The spot appeared on our Best of the Best Awards list in 2017. (It was also the spot where staffers of the recently closed Creative Loafing publication gathered after last week’s news.)

There’s currently no word on what will be taking its prominent space in NoDa. This story will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
