Moffett’s third concept celebrates a milestone

Stagioni: Four Seasons of Food celebrates its first anniversary on January 6th, after an exciting inaugural year – including being named one of the Best New Restaurants in Charlotte.

“Stagioni was an exhilarating venture for me, and it’s certainly been an action-packed first year of business,” said Bruce Moffett, owner of Moffett Restaurant Group (MRG) which owns and operates Stagioni, Barrington's, and Good Food on Montford. He is also the award-winning executive Chef at flagship restaurant Barrington’s.  “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching the restaurant become a part of the Eastover and Myers Park neighborhoods and grow into its own in terms of menu and ambiance.”

Change was a constant for Stagioni this year. Not only did the menu shift with the seasons, but Ashley Quick also joined the MRG team at Stagioni mid-year.  A Charlotte native who previously worked as Executive Chef at Flyte in Nashville, Ashley brings passion for local sourcing and has kept diners and staff on their toes by introducing fresh flavors to the seasonal menu.

Chef Quick is also passionate about educating area foodies on the merits of seasonal eating, driving home a connection to the food one consumes. His newest venture is the introduction of a monthly column in “Honest Cooking”, which will begin online circulation in January. In addition to advocating fresh food, Quick also plans to keep the focus of the menu on local ingredients for authentic Italian dishes.  

For all of those Charlotte foodies eager to try their hand at mastering seasonally-driven cooking, Quick also plans to conduct a series of cooking classes at the restaurant where home cooks can try their hand at preparing traditional Italian fare. Chef Quick will focus on preparation, flavor pairings, and ingredient selection, emphasizing locally sourced fare.

With lots to look forward to in their second year, Stagioni plans to celebrate in high style. On their first anniversary, January 6th, all guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary glass of Stagioni’s unique prosecco, served on tap!
