Skate 4 A Cure Athon
Enjoy some skating fun and music, at this fundraiser to fight Crohn’s disease. Guests will receive complimentary Paul Mitchell gift bags. Presented by The Crohns No More Foundation. 5-11 p.m. $8. Art Wine-Down
It’s an evening of fine art and wine tasting. Unfiltered Brew & BBQ
Partake in a fun summer afternoon, featuring $3 Unfiltered Copper and Captain Jack from The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, plus $5 Skinnygirl cocktails. Some of the best barbecue in town is on the menu, and there’ll be live music from The Atlas Shrug Project (2 p.m.), a cornhole tournament (2:30 p.m.), and prize giveaways. Hall of Fame Game Tailgate Party
Are you ready for some football? Bar Athletes presents this annual event for the unofficial start to the NFL season. Compete in bar games on the patio, such as cornhole and football bingo. And the Hall of Fame Game, between the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins, will be shown on the TVs at 8 p.m. The organizers will also be inducting their first two Charlotte bars into the Bar Athletes Hall of Fame. 6 p.m. Free.
