It’s no wonder Fifth Third Bank has been named a Top Place to Work by The Charlotte Observer for 2016, 2017, and 2018.  Between their “Maternity Concierge” benefit, internal Weight Watchers groups, health seminars, and other wellness initiatives, it’s Fifth-Third makes it clear that their employees are just as important as their customers.

So, what’s this Maternity Concierge?

Hoping to support women in the workforce, the Maternity Concierge service was created for employees who are expecting. Whether for new moms or expectant parents, Fifth Third’s program provides all kinds of resources for the working parent—daycare information, information on what to expect when you’re expecting, recommendations for support after the child is born, and the like. The free, wraparound service also includes separate spaces for mothers in the office plus the ability to plan your baby shower for you (yes, please!). It’s all about celebrating new moms and helping them excel in the workforce.

The Maternity Concierge program was launched in 2017. On January 19, 2019, Fifth Third announced that it is among just 230 companies included on the 2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index, which distinguishes companies committed to transparency in gender reporting and to advancing women’s equality.

What other wellness programs does Fifth Third offer employees?

You don’t win Healthiest Employer multiple times over just because of one program. Fifth Third’s commitment to employee wellness is impressive. Besides the internal Weight Watchers groups and health seminars mentioned above, additional wellness benefits for employees include wellness rewards through a Go365 partnership, talks from partners such as the American Heart Association, and dedicated counselors to help families with general wellness including financial health.

Fifth Third Bank is a shining example for many other companies, especially in the financial industry. By treating its employees like family, this bank is changing the face of the workforce—for the better. Click here to learn more about Fifth Third’s commitment to social responsibility.
