Friends and Beerfest IPA Edition at Legion Brewing

Saturday, August 6, 2-8 p.m.

National IPA Day always falls on the first Thursday in August, but there’s no reason you can’t celebrate it on Saturday, too. Legion, which has become well-known for its sour program since it opened in Plaza Midwood last December, will be the center the Charlotte IPA world for a day. Fifteen other local breweries are contributing IPAs for the event, which will also include live music and food from local restaurants. Pre-sale tickets, available through Eventbrite, cost $10 and get you a tasting glass and 4 taster tickets. At the door on the day of the party, $10 gets you a tasting glass and 3 taster tickets.

4 Years Still Here Renovation Reveal at Lucky Dog Bark and Brew (Cornelius location)

Saturday, August 6, noon-11 p.m.

After opening a location in Charlotte earlier this year, Lucky Dog turned to renovating its original spot in Cornelius. Join them to celebrate their new patio (with better airflow), new flooring, and new wall protection. There will be games, food trucks, and live music all day. And there will be dogs, of course. FYI: Lucky Dog is a 21 and older establishment.

NoDa Brewing Company Releases Gordgeous

Monday, August 8, 4 p.m.

“It’s never too early for pumpkin beer,” might soon become Charlotte’s official slogan. But hey, good beer is good any time of year, right? Gordgeous will be available in cans and on draft at the North Tryon Street tap room on August 8, and in stores around town beginning August 15.
