Tournament Time: 6 Charlotteans Who Might Influence Your Brackets

The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament tips off in March. Here are a few other Charlotte-area players who might influence your brackets.
Dee Bost

The senior guard and former Concord High star has been a starter for Mississippi State for the past three seasons and was named a co-captain this year.

De’Mon Brooks
The Davidson sophomore forward is a former high school teammate of Brandyn Curry’s and was the Wildcats’ leading scorer as of late January. 

Seth Curry
The junior guard at Duke hopes that he’ll lead his squad deep into the tournament this season, as his older brother Stephen did for Davidson in 2008.

Ian Miller
The sophomore standout is one of Florida State’s leading scorers. Muggsy Bogues was his personal basketball tutor when he played for Charlotte’s United Faith Christian Academy.

Akil Mitchell
The forward who lettered three years in basketball at Charlotte Christian has provided valuable minutes to the Virginia Cavaliers this season.

Will Reigel
The Davidson sophomore from Charlotte Latin has played in every game for the Wildcats this season. His father, Ernie, played basketball for Davidson and his grandfather Bill Reigel played basketball for Duke and McNeese State.
