Upcoming Food Events (Mar. 17–23)

If you're just looking for a new place to try, Inizio Pizza, a casual eatery specializing in Neopolitan-style pizzas, and Comida, a modern Mexican restaurant in Plaza Midwood, both joined Charlotte's growing list of restaurants over the last few days. Cooking classes, a food truck rally, collaborative dinners, and a cheese tasting round out the list this week.

FRIDAY (Mar. 18)

FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY

Visit Sycamore Brewing in SouthEnd, Food Truck Friday's new location for their rally of Charlotte area food trucks. Scheduled to participate tomorrow are: Papi Queso, Tin Kitchen, Roots Farm Food, OooWee BBQ, Hotbox Street Food, and Roaming Fork.

 

FRIDAY & SATURDAY (Mar. 19 – 20)

COOKING CLASSES AT SUR LA TABLE

Spots are still available for several hands-on cooking classes at Sur La Table, including two in their Date Night series, Romance in Italy and Spectacular Seafood. A knife skills course will also be offered on Saturday afternoon. 

SUNDAY (Mar. 20)

MAGNA GRAECIA DINNER AT AQUA E VINO

Join Aqua e Vino for a collaborative dinner where Zia Pia Imports and Chef Riccardo Maneri prepare dinner featuring ingredients and wines from the southern regions of Italy. WINDY HILL CIDER DINNER AT KING'S KITCHEN

Celebrate spring with a three-course dinner from King's Kitchen and Windy Hill Orchard Cidery in South Carolina. Enjoy hand-selected pairings by the cidery and the restaurant's Executive Chef, Cody Suddreth. Call to reserve.

WINE AND CHEESE TASTING

Tickets are on sale now for the return of this annual fundraising event, which benefits No Kid Hungry. Held at the Fillmore, this event features 20 of Charlotte's favorite restaurants, along with wine and a special NKH cocktail that helps raise even more money.
