Pick up locally grown flowers for your dinner party and locally grown fruit for dessert at the King Street Market at the corner of Kings and Morehead. Open Fridays 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

DRINK
Baristas and latte lovers sip together at the Arabica Labrica Monthly Barista Jam at Dilworth Coffee. At the Dilworth location, 2400 Distribution St. August 17. 6 p.m.

SHOP
Check out the nature inspired collections from Saint by Sarah Jane (like the ring above) in a trunk show at the line’s exclusive Charlotte retailer, Neiman Marcus at SouthPark mall. August 15 and 16. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

ROCK ON
Catch Athens, Georgia-based rock group, The Whigs, perform live at the Visulite Theatre (www.carolinatix.com). $10. August 16. 10 p.m.

BE SEEN
Mingle with artists and local hipsters in the historical NoDa neighborhood at their Friday night Gallery Crawl. August 15.
