What to Know Before Heading to the 2019 VTGCLT Spring Market

This year’s Vintage Charlotte Spring Market pops up at Camp North End’s Historic Ford Building on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. and continuing till 5 p.m. Here are four things you can expect:

1. There will be over 80 vintage and handmade vendors from across the southeast. Those sellers are juried and selected to ensure they are of the highest quality. Expect the pop-up shop to be an even split between vintage and handmade items, such as housewares, furniture, decor, clothing, jewelry, and more. Some of the highlights include nostalgic ‘80s and ‘90s fashion from Public Interest CLT; whimsical silver jewelry by Fable Link Jewelry; reusable, hand-stamped gift wrap by ReThink Gift Wraps; illustrated porcelain-ware by Golden And Grey; leather goods and geometric jewelry by Cold Gold; nature-inspired accessories by Created Beautifully; candles by Essence Noire; and Cactus Club Co., a mobile plant shop. There will also be some new faces at the market this year, including letterpress studio Cotton Blossom Press; Punjab Spice Company; and Zartiques, a furnishings store that specializes in vintage persian rugs.

2. You can sip while you shop or take a break to grub on some truck food. HEX Coffee and Birdsong Brewing will be on site serving coffee and craft beer. At the Boileryard, enjoy a meal from The Dumpling Lady or OooWee BBQ. Then, head over to King of Pops for dessert.

3. You can get in early on the shopping. For $7, early bird admission gets you in an hour early so you can beat the crowd and get first dibs on items. General admission is $2 and starts at 11 a.m. Cash or card are both accepted at the door. As for parking, it’s free and plentiful at the site.

4. There will be freebies at the door. Shoppers get a free copy of Our State Magazine and a Yelp Charlotte shopping bag, while supplies last.
