Charlotte Symphony’s Celebrate America
July 3
This yearly Independence Day celebration lands on July 3 this time around, with the performance at 8:15 p.m. at Symphony Park in SouthPark. Expect the classics: "God Bless America," an Armed Forces medley, and a big fireworks finale. 4400 Sharon Rd.
U.S. National Whitewater Center
July 3-4
Two nights of free fun hits the Whitewater Center to celebrate the Fourth. Aside from fireworks at 9:30 on both nights, you can also look forward to some yoga programming and performances from Rayland Baxter, North Mississippi Allstars, and others.. 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy.
Carowinds
July 4-5
Take in some rides before Carowinds' annual Fourth of July show celebration starts at 9:30 p.m. (Read about their newest coaster, Copperhead Strike, here.). 300 Carowinds Blvd.
Skyshow 2019
July 4
The big uptown celebration is back. As usual, the fireworks follows a Charlotte Knights game at BB&T Ballpark. If you’re not going to the game, you can enjoy the show from Romare Bearden Park. A street festival with food, music, rides, and more takes place throughout the evening. 300 S Church St.
19th Annual 4th of July Plaza Midwood Pig Pickin'
July 4
This is a Charlotte tradition for Independence Day. Many of the neighborhood's restaurants and bars serve food and drinks for the event, and live music. The shows and fireworks are free. Plaza Midwood.
