Options across the city

Lucky Dog Bark and Brew
FreeMoreWest, 1 p.m., Free
This dog-friendly bar is hosting its fourth-annual Puppy Bowl featuring adoptable dogs from Pits and Giggles Rescue. Enter your own jersey-wearing pup in a costume contest or take a pet photo. There will also be the Bad Mother Smokers and drink specials. The “pawty” ends at 4 p.m., just in time to make it home and snuggle up with your tired pet by kick off.

Recess Charlotte
Plaza Midwood, 5 p.m., $0 – $250
Wings are half-off from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the venue. You can also get a platter of wings (50) for $100 and reserve your own section. And between quarters and during timeouts, DJ Wonder will also be spinning tunes to keep the party flowing.

Whisky River
Uptown, 4 p.m., $25
The spot is doing a general admission style this year, if you want to watch the Big Game in uptown. The ticket gets you you one drink ticket, an all-you-can-eat buffet, bull rides, bar games, and more.

South End, 6:30 p.m., Free
This pool hall has a slew of specials for the Super Bowl: $2 mimosas, $5 Bloody Marys, $5 tall boys, and more. Like the rest of these businesses, Slate encourages folks to get there early to grab a spot.

Tin Roof
Uptown, 6 p.m., Free
With the addition of its new Green Room, this EpiCentre venue will have a total of 32 TVs playing the game, plus $15 domestic buckets, $10 domestic pitchers and $30 football platters. Find out how to reserve a booth here.
