New vendors open in 7th Street Market
Hazelnuts Crêperie adds second location

7th Street Public Market brought two additional vendors into its space over the weekend, both adding a sweet touch to the Carolinas-sourced market. Hazelnuts Crêperie fills a void with its collection of sugary and savory crepes, joining Pure Pizza, Local Loaf and Orman’s Cheese Shop, among others, in its new home alongside Bonsai Fusion sushi. The original Hazelnuts is located in the lobby of 200 S. Tryon St. in Uptown. The classic French pancake takes many forms on a menu that includes breakfast crêpes made with eggs and cheese, meaty crêpes like the basil pesto chicken, and dessert-like dishes with stuffed with fruit and Nutella. There are also vegetarian-friendly savory options.
Carolina Chocolate Company, dreamed up by three friends out of Lake Wylie, S.C., will also open up shop, selling chocolate truffles, peppermint and almond bark, and a variety of bars and chocolate-dipped treats.
Though Hazelnuts and Carolina Chocolate Company took advantage of the holiday gift season with their opening dates, they aren’t just pop-up shops—both are expected to be long-term fixtures at the market. Find them at 224 E. Seventh St. in Uptown.
