Not a Little Décor

What Décor 1202

Vibe The "big" nightclub is back. After a trend of intimate bars and lounges opening around Charlotte during the past year, Décor 1202 is one of a couple of two-clubs-in-one venues that have opened recently. After entering, a long aisle brings you past the dance floor, as you pass leather couches and flat-screen TVs lining the wall, and into the back bar and lounge. The crowd mingles here first, and the room is perfectly lit so you can actually see the person you're talking to. As you listen to hip-hop and R&B spun by a DJ, you're also treated to the corresponding music videos playing on the TVs. Once the club fills up, partiers make their way over to the dance floor. This large space has a stage and two upstairs bars that have more seating and allow you to look down at the crowd below.

Who's There Mostly young, professional African Americans. And it'll be interesting to see if the club taps into the CPCC student body since the school is located across the street.

What Sets It Apart Its location. While the Elizabeth neighborhood has been adding shops and restaurants, nightlife has been left primarily to Loft 1523 and Jackalope Jacks. This is a third option.
