Hiring a planner for your big day? Ask these questions before writing a check.

So, let's get personal. We're officially 11 days out from my sister's big day. {Congrats Tara & Ryan}

The Kate-Spade inspired, black-tie affair will take place uptown in the Ritz-Carlton's fabulous Urban Garden. Think glittery gold runners, black and white striped details, and, of course, pops of hot pink. 

We hired Carolina Event Design to jumpstart our design details and step in the month of to provide last minute coordination. They've been fabulous.

Questions to ask a potential planner

Do you do both design and coordination?

How many weddings have you planned?

How many weddings do you take on during a season?

Have you worked with our vendors before?

What's your style as a planner?

What makes a wedding day successful?

What size wedding are you comfortable coordinating?

Will you be with us on our wedding day? 

Do you work alone or with a team?

Once these questions are asked and answered, you'll have an idea of whether or not the planner is a good fit for you, your budget, and your dream wedding day. Don't forget to trust your gut!
