Then + Now: Inside Price's Chicken Coop

If the above photo from the 1960s wasn’t in black and white, it’d be hard to tell the image isn’t of the takeout fried chicken spot today.

IT'S BEEN open since 1962, but not much has changed at Price’s Chicken Coop in South End. Outside, Camden Road has become the heart of the neighborhood. Inside, guests still line up throughout the day, cash in hand, to get a cardboard box of the city’s best fried chicken, fries, hushpuppies, cole slaw, and a roll.
