Simply Bloom

It’s time for Round 2 of our Valentine’s Day posts and ladies, now it’s your turn. If you’re a procrastinator and still in need of gift ideas for the love of your life, we’re here to help. Don’t panic – with our advice, you’ll have the perfect gift in no time.

If you’re engaged

Boys night – Accept the fact that your fiancé might just not be into Valentine’s Day. That’s OK. Set up a night for beer and basketball watching with his buds. He’ll love it and it will give you time to stuff that stack of invitations.

Dinner and a movie remix – Take a spin on the traditional Valentine’s Day and trade the chick flick in for an action movie. Scrap the candlelight dinner and woo him with barbecue or wings.

Food – Cook for him. Bake for him. Order take-out for him. Men love food. It’s that simple.

If you’re married

Stay in – There’s a ton of pressure around your first Valentine’s Day as a married couple. Surprise your hubby with a night in and don’t be afraid to turn up the heat after dark.

Get gifty – Things change a little when you’re married and combine finances. Withdraw some cash and give your guy a new tool, tickets to the big game or a subscription to HBO.

Food – Cook for him. Bake for him. Order take-out for him. Men love food. It’s that simple. Some things never change.
