She's the reason you exist. For Mother's Day this year, treat your mom (or wife who's also a mom) to a delicious spread of morning and afternoon bites. We have yet to find someone who hates brunch, so this plan feels fool-proof. With Mother's Day falling on Sunday, May 13, this year, that gives you just under two weeks to make reservations at the below Charlotte restaurants serving Mother's Day brunch.

The Asbury

Featuring their regular spring brunch menu with a la carte pricing, The Asbury at the Dunhill Hotel will delight Southern food-loving mothers with their Southern Benedict, Chicken in a Biscuit, and other brunch staples. As an added bonus, every mom receives a rose, and mimosa pitchers are $28. Call 704-342-1193 for reservations.

BLT Steak

For Mother's Day, BLT Steak at the Ritz is staying open from brunch through dinner: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., though the steakhouse typically closes during that time. With a variety of brunch items offered throughout the afternoon including salads, classic egg dishes, sandwiches, signature popovers, and steak-centric entrees, BLT's brunch will have something for everyone. Plus, their new Sunday Roast option (prime rib, $49), will also be available during daytime and evening hours. The deal gets sweeter when you remember that Sundays feature half-off bottles of wine and $5 mimosas and Bloody Marys. Dishes are priced separately.

Stoke Charlotte

No prix-fixes and no pressure at this uptown spot in the Marriott for Mother's Day—instead, there will be an a la carte menu available all day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. From brunch favorites such as Tim’s Stuffed French Toast filled with ricotta and berries and crusted with Rice Krispies to healthier options such the Avocado Toast with stracciatella with sea salt and Georgia olive oil, the menu is vast enough for all tastes. There will also be new dishes from Chef Coleman's team: the extra crispy Dipped Fried Chicken with Nolan’s hot BBQ sauce and chow chow and the deliciously messy Steak Sandwich with caramelized onions and pimento cheese are just two. Plus, mom can indulge in one of the many spring cocktails available.

Carpe Diem

Pay $30 for a two-course menu including salad or soup and entrees such as crab cake benedict, churro French toast, chicken and waffles, and spring herb crepe, among other choices. A classic mimosa will cost $7, and a Bloody Mary with pickled okra is $8.

The Ballantyne

Offering a contemporary Southern take on brunch and live music during dining, Gallery Restaurant at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge will be serving the meal on May 13 from noon to 4 p.m. Executive Chef Garrett Merck will create a sumptuous display of flavorful salads and regionally-inspired sides and entrée selections, all complemented by mimosas and Bloody Marys. There will also be a dessert by Pastry Chef Noelle Gogg. The cost is $95 per person, $40 for ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under (plus tax and a 24-percent service charge). Reservations are required at 704-248-4100.
