3 Things to Know: Eddie V's Prime Seafood Opening in Uptown This Spring
THIS SPRING, Eddie V's Prime Seafood opens in a 10,826-square-foot space in Bank of America Plaza (101 South Tryon Street). The Orlando-headquartered chain has restaurants in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia, and is known for its focus on seafood and steaks. Here's what to expect from its first North Carolina location:
1. The Food. Eddie V's serves dinner seven days a week. The menu's influences are "Classic American, Modern Asian, and Southern cuisines," say its owners. The menu promises the following dishes: crab cakes, Parmesan sole, Chilean sea bass, Kung Pao-style calmari with roasted cashews, 16-ounce New York strip, and “Bananas Foster” butter cake. A happy hour menu (“Eddie’s Hours”) runs 4 p.m.-7 p.m. and has oysters, appetizers, wine by the glass, and more.
2. The Drinks. Eddie V's has a wine list of more than 300 choices sourced from across the globe. It breaks its robust cocktail program down into three categories: "Idealism" (sweet, crisp), "Fortitude" (classic picks), and "Decadence" (the more indulgent show-stoppers). They tell us to expect a Bananas Foster martini, a Yuzu-infused Tokyo gimlet, and a Hope Diamond drink, which has diamond ice cubes.
3. The Vibe. Self-described as "refined, yet relaxed," the restaurant has live jazz or blues music each night. There are six private rooms in the space. See some more shots provided by the restaurant below.
