5 Fall Lattes to Get at Charlotte Coffee Shops
From pumpkin and salted maple to amaretto vanilla
CupLux’s The Pumpkin Spice Latte
3115 Freedom Dr.
Self-described as the “very first Vegan PSL in the city,” CupLux’s take on the pumpkin spice latte is beloved. It’s a good day to try it, too: The drive-through spot is offering $3 pumpkin spice lattes, hot or cold, or $1 drip coffee to mark the day.
Waterbean Coffee’s Snickerdoodle Latte
Waterbean recently released this cookie-inspired latte. It’s available in hot and cold varieties. The brand has locations in four locations in Charlotte (uptown, Whitehall, Park Road, and Midtown), and also ones in Cornelius, Huntersville, and the co-owner’s native city of Da Nang, Vietnam.
The Hobbyist’s Amaretto Vanilla
2100 N Davidson St.
The Hobbyist recently unleashed a trio of seasonal lattes. The Maple Clove and the Pumpkin & White Chocolate are both noteworthy, but the Amaretto Vanilla is a stand-out and returning favorite for the shop. That latter one is also called “Grandma’s Kitchen.”
Enderly Coffee Co.’s Salted Maple Latte
2620 Tuckaseegee Rd.
This one is the sweet-and-salty drink of the group. The drink is made with espresso, pure maple syrup, Homelands Creamery milk, and sea salt. The “Pumpkin Pie” is also a favorite drink here.
Undercurrent Coffee’s Black Forest Latte
The Black Forest Latte offers one of the most unexpected flavor combinations on the list: “made with espresso, our housemade dark chocolate sauce with a hint of cherry and spice, your choice of milk, and a cherry on top.” Undercurrent has locations in Plaza Midwood and Optimist Hall.
