Taste of the Knights event pairs food and beer favs
The warmer weather seems to be sticking around, so what better time to get outdoors and enjoy it? The Mint museum is seizing on the opportunity by bringing together a few American favorites: baseball, beer, and food. Come out to the BB&T Ballpark next Wednesday to sample everything from sliders, to beer, to pizza during the Taste of the Knights event. If you're feeling guilty after all that eating; don't fret. After the miniature feast, participants will take a walk to the Mint Museum Uptown for a behind-the-scenes tour of the new exhibition Halston and Warhol: Silver and Suede.
Tickets are $55 or $45 for museum members for the event which will take place on Wednesday, March 18, from 5:30-7:30 pm. Here's a sneak peek of what's on the menu for the event (beers paired with each course):
TASTING MENU:
- Harvest Vegetable Tarts featuring cauliflower, carrots, and Brussels sprouts
Sliders
- Burger slider topped with melted cheddar cheese
- 14 hour smoked brisket slider finished with caramelized onion compote
- Hotdog slider with a side of relish, diced onions, and five star slaw
Grilled Flatbread Pizza
- Grilled buffalo chicken flat topped with melted cheddar and blue cheese
- Caprese flat topped with roasted heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic reduction.
- Cheese and meat flat of pepperoni, sausage, and ground beef topped with shredded cheddar mozzarella and pepper jack cheese.
