Second Annual Charlotte Bachata & Salsa Festival (July 25-28)
Whether you’re skilled or a novice, you’ll experience bachata and salsa dance and music workshops, performances, parties (including mixers and pool parties), and more over multiple days. Restaurant Grand Opening and Cancer Benefit
This pizza restaurant opened in the spring, but now is as good a time as any to hold a "grand" event. The owners are dedicating this evening to Shelby Purvis, a 16 year-old girl diagnosed with cancer. Proceeds will go toward her fight against leukemia. Your ticket includes all-you-can-eat pizza and pasta. And the mayors of Indian Trail and Monroe will go head to head in a pizza-making contest. 4-8 p.m. $10 at the door. Alive After Five (weekly event)
Thursday's AA5 is a celebration of the 1980s, featuring an 80s costume contest, with the winner receiving a three-day/two-night vacation package to Myrtle Beach.
