Weekend Warmup (new weekly event)
You have a new option for after-work fun on Thursdays in South End. This weekly series kicks off this evening (running at least through spring) and will feature live music by a different band each week, in addition to the great food and drinks this bar is known for. Music this evening by Starlight Mints. Also, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 6-8 p.m. Free admission. Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte Girls’ Night Out
It’s a night that caters to the ladies while supporting a great cause. Enjoy cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a fashion show, and silent auction. The runway will feature fashions from several upscale boutiques and retailers, and some of the models are “Model Moms,” women who have stayed in a Ronald McDonald House. Also on this night, the winner of the 2014 Isabella Santos Award will be announced, presented in partnership with the Isabella Santos Foundation. 6 p.m. $60 and up. A Night With Habitat
Habitat Charlotte is celebrating 23 years of Women Build at this annual event (formerly known as Steaks & Stilettos), featuring dinner, a silent auction, and more. Sixth Annual Charity Best Bachelorette Auction Ever
Fifteen single Charlotte women will grace the stage at this event, as audience members place bids for a chance to go out on a date with them. It’s all for a great cause, benefiting charities that support children affected by domestic violence. Hosted by comedian Tone-X, with music by DJ Phalse ID. Fridays On The Patio (weekly event)
Enjoy the great weather and kick off the start of your weekend on this patio, which offers some of the best views of Uptown. Sip’s First Anniversary
After going through a renovation and rebranding last year (formerly known as Town Tavern), Sip began attracting a broader range of Uptown partiers, particularly young professionals and the after-work crowd. Concerts in the Round (weekly event kickoff)
SouthPark’s Friday evening party series kicks off for the season this Friday, where hundreds of people come out to be entertained by the live bands while enjoying food and drinks from the surrounding restaurants and bars. PlayDate Charlotte
It’s the event where you can relive the fun of your childhood, with plenty of old-school games (many of them oversized) such as Jenga, Monopoly, UNO, Twister, musical chairs, and hula hoops. Drex and Maney’s Second Anniversary Party with Aloe Blacc Live

The Charlotte Bobcats have returned home to face the Miami Heat in game three of their playoff series. Third Annual Parking Lot Charity Party
One of the Lake Norman area’s most popular bars hosts this event, with live music by Below The Belt (5-8 p.m.), followed by DJ Bob, and food trucks will be on site. Passport For Fashion: One

It’s one of the area’s largest annual fashion shows, featuring dozens of models walking the catwalk in fashions and styles by more than 20 designers and 25 boutiques. There will also be live entertainment, a DJ, passed appetizers, and cocktails. Proceeds will benefit Drumstrong, which supports cancer programs and research. Second Annual Florence Crittenton Services Charity Fashion Show
The theme for this year’s event is “Beside Every Good Man… Salute to Power Couples,” and the fashion show will feature professional athletes, celebrities, and community members. Guests will also enjoy cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, dancing, and an auction. Proceeds benefit Florence Crittenton Services, which provides comprehensive services to pregnant and at-risk women and girls in crisis situations. 7 p.m. General admission, $75; VIP, $150. Brewery Tour Charlotte
This is the first event in this monthly brewery tour series, to be held on the last Sunday of each month. A party bus will take guests to some of the best local breweries Charlotte has to offer.
