Currently Inspired By: Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture

It's my long-lasting dream to attend the couture shows in Paris. While I'm constantly inspired by even the most basic styles on the street, I long to witness the magical end product of painstaking construction and elaborate set designs specific to haute couture. Having studied the meticulous techniques during a semester study session in the City of Light, I have an enlightened appreciation for the miniscule details that go into each piece. That said, it was clearly no question that I'd be streaming the shows live from the comfort of my Queen City couch. Though I'd like to claim I've always shared an unbiased affection for the consistently stunning collections of Elie Saab, I must admit he holds a special place in my heart, after completing a mini internship prior to Paris RTW fashion week, ending with working backstage for the show. (I was assigned to dress all-time favorite Chanel Iman). Nonetheless, his Spring '14 Couture collection blew me away–truly. I knew I had to share a few of my favorite gowns with my lovely brides to-be, because I know you'll be equally head over heels. Though these breath-taking confections seamlessly lend themselves to the romance of springtime, they also seem so quintessentially winter wonderland. So it feels entirely relevant to gush over these dresses for design inspiration, no matter what season you'll be saying 'I do.' Here are my top picks from the show…
