CIAA Fan Experience: Two-Day Belk Fashion Show

The Belk Fashion Show takes place March 4 and 5, 2011 during the CIAA Fan Experience at Charlotte Convention Center.

There’s a lot more than basketball being offered at this week’s CIAA Tournament. While the men’s and women’s teams have been competing all week at Time Warner Cable Arena, the CIAA Fan Experience kicked off Thursday, March 3 and runs through Saturday at Charlotte Convention Center.

Admission to the Fan Experience is free, and it attracts thousands of people over the three days. The entertainment lineup features prize giveaways, video game and interactive zones, car displays, photo booths, cooking exhibitions, vendors, celebrity appearances, and performances by national recording artists including Donell Jones, Tank, Jagged Edge, and more.

There will also be a Belk Fashion Show, taking place Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m., showcasing the latest spring fashions available from the Charlotte-based department store chain. Belk has also set up a mini-boutique on site, near the runway, where it is offering complimentary makeovers and selling items like fragrances and handbags. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes footage I captured Thursday of models rehearsing for the show.
