Cocktails at The Duke Mansion, Seersuckers and Sundresses Party, Great Gatsby Gala, and More this Weekend

Enjoy an evening of cocktails at The Duke Mansion on August 5 and September 16.

There are some classy parties going on this weekend, with a few exuding Southern and/or early twentieth century charm. But in case you don’t want to be buttoned up, there’s some “Frolic” on Saturday.

Friday, August 5

Summer Cocktails at The Duke Mansion
Kick off your weekend with a little Southern charm at this cocktail hour. Roam the beautiful gardens and the exquisite mansion while enjoying drinks from the cash bar and delicacies from Executive Chef Harrison Booth. Seersuckers and Sundresses
Uptown First Fridays presents this fashionable night in which men are asked to wear stylish suits and ladies wear sundresses. Saturday, August 6

23rd Annual Great Gatsby Gala
This annual benefit for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Mid-Atlantic Chapter is a Charlotte party tradition. The gala allows you to relive the Roaring ’20s by dressing in 1920s-era attire/costume or in contemporary black-tie. Enjoy music by Tyrone Jefferson and A Sign of the Times, dancing, and food from more than a dozen of Charlotte’s top restaurants (Capital Grille, BLT Steak, Sullivan’s, etc.). Super Sexy White Event
Your sexiest white attire is requested (though not required), and you’ll get to walk the white carpet as your photo is taken by Cinhte Magazine. Frolic Part 2
MAZ Entertainment is throwing its wildest party of the summer. There will be a bikini contest, a male hot body competition, and mechanical bull riding.
