Editor's Notes

Bridal Market Week Necessities

The first days of October beckon a bevy of autumn-related activities, but a highly anticipated happening to be noted is most definitely New York Bridal Fashion Week. In fact, this whirlwind week of pearly white glitz and glamour easily takes the cake. Getting prepared for back-to-back shows, hurried cab rides and more than a few sprints in stilettos requires a bit more than simply tossing a few favorite ensembles into a suitcase. So for those who wonder what life's like as a fashion editor, we're giving you the inside edition of our survival necessities for fashion week. 1) Caffiene Jolt. Given that bridal shows can begin as early as 7:30am (yep, that's right), massive doses of caffiene are an absolute necessity. 2) Picture Perfect. A quality camera for snapping action shots on the runway is an editor must. 3) Writer's Block. A sleek notebook for jotting down notable collection details and favorite gowns helps to keep everything clear as well as gather trend information when the week is done. 4) Paint The Town. A swipe of red lipstick in of-the-moment burgundy does just the trick to hiding a tired complexion during a jam-packed week of shows. 5) It's in The Bag. With a pile of hard invites and acquired line sheets to tote between shows, a roomy envelope clutch makes the ideal accessory. 6) Freshen Up. A bit of dry shampoo to keep your blowout fresh the next day… Enough said. 7) Liquid Diet. With little time for lunch breaks, an organic juice is perfect for the girl on the go. 8) Here Comes The Sun. When lipstick simply won't suffice for hiding fatigue, a chic pair of sunnies will most definitely do the trick!
