How They Met:
Justin and I met on September 11, 2005 at a concert at Verizon Wireless. We both had attended the 10th Annual Weenie Roast to see the band Staind. I noticed him when we first walked into the "Mosh Pit" area because he was wearing a Bush shirt that I also had. Later in the afternoon we found ourselves standing beside each other. I was pushed into him and we started talking after that. We exchanged email addresses (how dorky, I know!) at the end of the night. I emailed him when I got home and then woke up to an email from him the next morning. We went on our first date four days later and have been together ever since.
The Proposal:
On January 22, 2010, Justin asked me to get off work at 5 p.m. I usually worked until at least 6 p.m. on Fridays but I didn’t really think much about it. When I got home, the house was all dark, candles lit and he had fixed a fabulous meal. After eating, we watched a movie, which happened to be the movie we saw on our first date. After that, we got ready and a limo picked us up and took us to eight places around Charlotte that meant something to us: where we first met, where we went on our first date, where we almost broke up, etc. The limo then took us to "The Wine Vault" in the University area to "have a drink." A few minutes in, he asked me to dance and then got down on one knee and asked me. We then left there, went to The Melting Pot and had dessert to celebrate our big news. My cell phone died in the process before I could call everyone so I didn’t get to call my friends and family until after midnight. It was the best night of my life!
