With more than 22 locations across two states, Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery makes it easy and convenient for you to get exceptional oral surgery care. Our experienced (board-certified) surgeons set the standard for oral surgery. We use the latest techniques and advanced technology across a broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, cleft lip and pal-ate repair, tooth extractions, TMJ treatments, and sleep apnea treatments.
When asked what sets our award-winning practice apart, Dr. Bart Farrell points to the center’s emphasis on putting “the patient first” in all situations. “Each person and each treatment is unique, and we have the knowledge and advanced techniques needed to handle it all with warmth and compassion,” Farrell says.
We pride ourselves on providing individualized and collaborative care. In areas like TMJ treatment, our surgeons can advise on a variety of treatment approaches, from conservative methods to surgeries. For non-surgical paths, we can offer oral appliances, injections, and medication to manage TMJ disorders. When necessary, surgical procedures such as arthroscopy, joint replacement, or corrective surgery are available.
One key benefit for our patients is that many complex surgical procedures can actually be performed at Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery locations with our in-house AAAHC-accredited ORs. Th is provides a seamless experience for patients at a single location, from pre-operative guidance to high-level surgical and post-operative care. You can expect personalized care, shorter wait times, and a more controlled and safe environment.
Our team of surgeons is also dedicated to advancing the field, and we are known as thought leaders in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Daniel Cook highlights that CCOFS is a “teaching practice that has two fellows and a resident, which allows us to teach others our techniques.” More than 20 fellows have been trained by our surgeons, before going on to become leaders in their specialty. As recognized leaders, our surgeons also lecture at regional and major industry events, author manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to industry textbooks.
Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery and our teams of exceptional (board certified) oral surgeons have been recognized as top providers in this magazine for more than a decade. “Our goal at CCOFS is to provide the highest quality of care, using the best technology and treatments available in the most compassionate and caring way,” says Dr. Waheed V. Mohamed.
When you are in need of a trusted oral and maxillofacial surgery partner, we look forward to providing you with outstanding patient-centered care and treatments.
