At Central Coffee Co. (719 Louise Ave., 704-335-7288), the pumpkin spice latte ($3.63) is made with employee Lindsey Pitman’s house-made vegan pumpkin syrup, sweetened with agave. If you’re seeking something a bit more decadent, head to Mugs Coffee (5126 Park Rd., 704-733-9014) and order a pumpkin pie espresso milkshake ($3.89), made with fresh espresso and pumpkin pie syrup.
