A Finer Edge sharpens blades across Charlotte
Knife expert Gary Gordon roams the Charlotte area with his mobile sharpening shop-in-a-van, A Finer Edge, putting perfect edges on kitchen knives, lawnmower blades, hedge clippers, scissors, and more. Taught at age 5 by his grandfather, Gordon took his lifelong hobby to the professional level after a job layoff in 2009, studying under a master sharpener and earning his certification. For now, he focuses on the areas in and around southern Mecklenburg County, although he’ll travel farther for large jobs or neighbors who book him for a group visit.
