Happy Hour at Napa on Providence

PETER TAYLOR
On the menu at Napa on Providence: Watermelon basil martini and pan-seared corvina on a bed of heirloom tomato panzanella made with with chunks of house-made ciabatta, cucumber agridolce, and tangerine vinaigrette.

With its cushy seating and lush greenery, the patio at Napa on Providence makes an evening feel like a vacation. It’s at its best during “Napa 5-7,” the restaurant’s new happy hour, where a selection of small plates and drinks are priced $5 to $7 from 5 to 7 p.m. every day but Saturday. Pair a glass of pinot gris with a flatbread pizza, nibble on a plate of charcuterie, or order the lemon-drop martini and enjoy the scene. Live music adds to the ambiance on Wednesdays and Thursdays. And if it gets too hot, the bar, an expansive, well-appointed space in its own right, is just steps away. 110 Perrin Pl., 704-900-8535, napaonprovidence.com.
