The Bechtler’s glittering Niki de Saint Phalle sculptures have garnered a lot of buzz, but salute Cascade, the two-story installation by Saint Phalle’s husband, Jean Tinguely. In 1991, Tinguely hung tractor parts and found objects from across the city inside the lobby of the Carillon Building, creating his last work of this scale before he died. It is Charlotte’s most distinctive public artwork.
