Plaza Midwood Spring Party
Enjoy the spring weather by spending the evening in this eclectic neighborhood, filled with hip and niche bars, restaurants, shops, and galleries. Live music will be on full display with performances by Jon Lindsay, Sinners & Saints, Elonzo, Turnbuckle Jones, Hectorina, Anna Bullard, and Henry Killian. Concerts in the Round (weekly event)
The planners who bring you the popular, weekly Alive After Five series in uptown, offer you south Charlotte’s version, kicking off this Friday and running for the next several Fridays. Sander Van Doorn
House and trance music legend Sander Van Doorn mans the turntables at one of uptown’s largest nightclubs. Charlotte’s female spinner, DJ Glojin, will play as well. Recess Fridays
It’s a highly anticipated party that goes down on the third Friday of the month. Hip hop and R&B blends by DJ Shaun Nyce. Giftapalooza

Bar Athlete Game Day and Barking Lot Party
Bar Athletes will be hosting their Bar Games Competition and it will be an afternoon for you to bring your dogs out onto the Seventh Street block. Drink specials include $2 PBR and $3 Labatt Blue Light Limes. There will also be free chili and a hot dog special ($1 from each hot dog sale will be donated to a pet charity). 1-6 p.m. Free. Passport For Fashion
It’s one of the largest annual fashion events of the year, featuring 36 designers, 100 models, 22 vendors, 10 restaurants, 8 bars, music, and a stylish crowd. Osso Saturdays (weekly event)
