Local beer establishments helping out Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation this week

You’ve likely seen the phrase “Drink Beer. Save Water” on bumper stickers, posters and T-shirts before. Thanks to the efforts of several local breweries and beer shops, you can now literally put that plan in action.
From today lasting until Saturday, Aug. 22, a portion of proceeds from local breweries/cideries and one beer shop will be donated to the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation. It’s all part of River Week, as one of the goals of the CRF is to educate the public about protecting the Catawba-Wateree River basin.
The participating breweries are Birdsong, Olde Mecklenburg, Red Clay Ciderworks, Sugar Creek, Sycamore, Triple C, Unknown and Wooden Robot, along with Salud Beer Shop.
These breweries (and beer shop) will have further information on how to additionally help/support the CRF, and that’s also where you come in. There are volunteers needed to help represent the CRF next week, and if you’d like to participate, email emilee@catawbariverkeeper.org. There’s also additional information on River Week that you can check out on Facebook.
