Marc Jacksina joins Nan & Byron's

The former executive chef of Halcyon takes on a new role as chef de cuisine at MAP Management's new Americana restaurant in South End

The former co-owner of Lulu and executive chef at Halcyon, Marc Jacksina is on the move once more. This time, he's landed at Nan & Byron's, the forthcoming 19th-century Americana concept from the group behind 5Church. (Here's a look at the new eatery from our June 2013 issue.)

Jacksina has made a name for himself in Charlotte with his creative, playful menus, so it'll be interesting to see how he puts his own spin on Nan & Byron's, which promises traditional American food along with an emphasis on specialty crafted cocktails.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing what a partnership between Jacksina and MAP Management executive chef Jamie Lynch brings to the table.
