May 2011 NASCAR Events at Speed Street

Food Lion Speed Street is Charlotte’s largest annual festival, drawing an estimated 400,000 people over its three days each year. This year’s event takes over the streets of uptown May 26-28, and once again the schedule is highlighted by musical acts. More than twenty-five bands and solo artists from just about every genre of music will rock the two stages, ranging from local and regional acts to nationally acclaimed headliners Rose Royce, Midnight Star, Pat Green, Josh Turner, Everclear, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, Eddie Money, and Clay Walker.

In addition to the concerts, Speed Street will also be filled with NASCAR driver appearances and autograph sessions, vendor displays, food, games, and other activities.
