How They Met: Meghan and Patrick met through a work connection, but four days after their first date, Patrick was relocated 2,000 miles away to Denver. But you know what they say—absence makes the heart grow fonder.

The Proposal: Meghan’s no fool, but Patrick had no problem keeping his surprise engagement under wraps. For weeks, Meghan thought they were going to a formal charity event uptown. It was a welcome surprise when Patrick proposed at Romare Bearden Park beneath the city lights.
