Moroccan Night, Turkey Brunch, and Classes at Blue Restaurant & Bar

Blue Restaurant & Bar is hosting a wonderful class with Chef Gene Briggs; this one focusing on French Autumn Country dishes. The class will take place on Saturday, November 8, from 11 am to 1 pm. What will you be making at this tres chic class? For starters, students will learn to execute a winter squash bisque with roasted mushrooms. For course two, Briggs will school students on the right way to make a cassoulet with lamb, sausage, and duck confit. If you aren't getting full by this point, for the third course you'll learn how to make a potimarron aux cochon – sweet baby squash filled with roasted pork, brown sugar, and applewood smoked bacon. If that doesn't just scream fall, I don't know what does. For dessert, you'll cook the perfect apple tart tatin.
Too soon for you to get to the class? You can plan, instead, to head to Blue's Moroccan Night on Friday, November 21, starting at 630 pm with a reception followed by a 7 pm dinner and dance performance. Cost is $49.95 per guest, excluding sales tax and gratuity. The menu for the evening includes crispy shrimp briouat with charmoula sauce, a lamb tagine with preserved lemon couscous and spicy harissa, and a Meskouta- Moroccan orange cake. Last, but certainly not least, Blue will be hosting a Thanksgiving brunch on Thursday, November 27. Cost is $39.95 for adults, $14.95 for children ages 6-12, and free for children younger than 5. Of course, classic turkey will be available for the traditionalists, but Blue will also be offering chicken tagine, paella, Spanish fritatta, grilled salmon, toasted orzo salad, pumpkin cheescake, and more.
