My Kind of Corn Dog!
One of our associate editors (Jarvis Holliday) and I share a love for corn dogs. Actually, Jarvis likes any kind of food on a stick. That’s fewer dishes for him to worry about. Anyway, when you see the menu for the next beer dinner at Table restaurant in Ballantyne, you’ll understand why I’m telling you this. Table, which is owned by Alex Myrick, who also owns Blue, has hit on a good thing with these beer dinners. Talented Exec Chef Gene Briggs prepares a tantalizing menu in conjunction with a microbrewery–each course paired with a different beer. This one is on June 27 with Dogfish Brewery. Tix are $55 a person, not including 19% tip and tax. Call 704-369-5170 for reservations. Marketing Director Deborah Armstrong tells me the first three have been very popular, and they expect to sell this one out 50 seats. Because, really, who could pass up a lobster corn dog? —R.T.
