New Blumenthal Series Features Tony 'Best Musical' Winners

AHEAD OF ITS 25TH SEASON, Blumenthal Performing Arts has announced a new “Encore Series” that focuses on productions that have won the highest Tony Awards honor: “Best Musical.” The line-up includes Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, The Book of Mormon, and Disney’s The Lion King. The series utilizes both Belk Theater and Ovens Auditorium to host the shows, and it appears to be linked to Blumenthal’s previously announced Broadway Extras series, with the full line-up announced in that slew along with Sound of Music (Nov. 24-26 at Belk Theater).

You can currently purchase season tickets at prices based on tier. Blumenthal adds this to the announcement: “Encore Series ticket holders will also enjoy the right to swap up to two of their shows for anything else coming this season or next. Swapping for 2017-18 PNC Broadway Lights shows, excluding Hamilton, will be available at a later date based on availability.”
