MORE GOOD NEWS for one of Charlotte’s most eclectic corridors: A new full-service coffee bar and a bottle shop called The Hobbyist has signed a lease with LPA Urban for 2,600 square feet at 2100 NoDa. The neighborhood spot will serve Counter Culture coffees, as well as a variety of local and regional craft beers and wine by the glass. Visitors can also browse the carryout selection at the bottle shop.

Owned by Bryson and Julie Woodside, The Hobbyist will have a vintage industrial vibe, accented by Bryson’s own custom woodworking pieces. It’s slated to open in late spring or early summer of 2019 in the former warehouse property adjacent to Cordelia Park in Villa Heights. So far 2100 NoDa’s roster of tenants includes Ebb & Flow Movement Studio, Pho @ NoDa, and Stellar Dental. The location is walkable to the 25th Street light rail station and other neighborhood favorites like Free Range Brewing and Amelie’s French Bakery & Café.
