Product Spotlight: C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve
Okay, I just opened the inside zipper pocket of my purse and pulled out not one, not two, but SEVEN different lipsticks and glosses. I clearly have issues – especially since 9 times out of 10 I don’t even have any lipstick on. You see, I am a lipstick eater. I can re-apply all the livelong day, and without fail, 20 minutes later it will all be gone again. So, you ask, why not just give up and go naked? My only answer is, I like how it feels when you’ve just slicked your lips with something smooth and I like the way light catches off lip-gloss and makes you think of words like “dewy.”
My perfect solution (and one of the seven that just came out of my bag): C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve. It comes in the prettiest vintage red tin, it’s small enough to fit in even your tiniest purse, but big enough to find in the depths of a giant one, it’s color-less when you put it on, lightly scented like rose petals and, of course, insanely rich and soothing. It is perfect for wearing under lipstick when your lips are feeling flaky, but I prefer to wear it alone. It’s far more glam than a tube of Chapstick could ever be and the lid of the tin claims that the salve can also be used on dry hands and elbows. I’ve never tried it, but if it feels half as good on my hands as it does on my lips, then I’ll go mitten-less this winter just to have an excuse to use it.
Grab it $5.50 at Bath and Body Works at SouthPark mall.
