Pubby Love: JackBeagle's Opens

NoDa’s newest nightspot is quickly becoming a neighborhood favorite with local bands and cheap beer

Like live music? JackBeagle’s features performances from local acoustic artists on Saturday nights.

NoDa nightlife just got its curfew extended. Chris Ingram and Mike Crowley have finally opened JackBeagle’s Pub next to Salvador Deli. While the new bar has a distinct pub personality (you’ll find house-smoked wings and Philly cheese-steaks on the late-night menu), the owners didn’t let NoDa’s artsy rep go to waste. Paintings from local artists cover the exposed brick wall in the cozy new drinking spot, a collection they hope will rotate once a month. If you’re looking for an after-party pint, you’ll find seven beers on tap, an extensive bottle selection, and a full bar. With daily drink specials ($1.50 beers will make an appearance soon), and local bands performing on Saturday nights, JackBeagle’s, named after Ingram’s dog, is bound to pull in crowds from NoDa gallery crawls, restaurants, and concert venues. Plus, with a new patio opening this spring (there’s rumors of a fire pit), this may be the city’s new warm-weather go-to.
