Navy, white, and yellow made for a lovely, nautical color palette.

With their large families and good friends flying in from north and south, Matt Floyd and Sarah LaBelle wanted everyone to enjoy great seafood and a fun party at the beach. Their wedding at The Shoal’s Club offered both, including a sun-drenched beachside ceremony.

Sarah chose a fresh palette of yellow and blue, perfect for her nautical beach wedding and not too feminine for Matt. “He would have killed me if he’d had to wear a pink tie!” she says. In her tablescapes, Sarah incorporated navy-blue-on-blue linens, yellow bottles, and white and navy table numbers. The ceremony and reception tables were adorned with white lanterns, glass vases, and white candles of every shape and size.

Flowers are essential for Sarah, owner of LaBelle Weddings & Events. She loved her sunny bouquet from Verzaal’s Florist and Events that popped with yellow tulips, goldenrod, chrysanthemums, and white anemones with navy centers, and yellow billy balls and blue-painted eucalyptus. Verzaal’s also decorated the wedding arbor with draped fabric, yellow spider mums, and lanterns—just enough beach-themed décor to add a sense of occasion without distracting from the ocean view.
