At her parents’ country house, Christy and Ben said their vows under an arbor next to the tire swing they’d hung together while they were dating.

Christy Searcy and Ben Talbert were married beside their favorite tire swing on her family’s estate. The sunny outdoor ceremony was set against rolling green hills, with horses and cows roaming in the distance. The bride and her entourage, all dressed in matching silk paisley robes, spent the morning upstairs with CC Salon, giggling with excitement and sneaking peeks at Ben outside on the lawn.

The bridesmaids in sophisticated navy stood out against the clean lines of Christy’s white satin mermaid gown by Ella Rosa. It was the first dress she tried on at Impressions Bridal, and she fell in love with the sweetheart neckline, lace, elegant cathedral train, and corset back. Carrying a long, gathered bouquet by Flora Fresh Flowers of yellow roses, sweetly scented stock, and airy greenery, the bride was so giddy, her dad had to remind her to slow down.

Guests headed to the old bank in downtown Cannon Village in Kannapolis for smoked barbecue chicken, and music and dancing by DJ on a Dime. Baker Diane Helvy created a delicious display of chocolate, vanilla, and pumpkin spice cupcakes with a tiny layer cake for the bride and groom to cut. Well-wishers sent the happy couple off in their new 1989 Jeep Wagoneer to the Dunhill Hotel before their adventure honeymoon in Belize.
