Rallying Reception for the Respect My Vote! Campaign
The Hip Hop Caucus Charlotte Leadership Committee invites you to come out to support and learn more about the 2012 Respect My Vote! campaign, a national, nonpartisan, voter education initiative targeting people between the ages of 18 and 40 years old. Special guests this evening include Mayor Anthony Foxx, Congressman Mel Watt, and Hip Hop Caucus President Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr. Hosted by No Limit Larry and Tone X, there will also be performances from poet Bluz and singer Ida Divine, and music by DJ Skillz. 6-9 p.m. Tickets, which are tax-deductible, are $25, $50, or $100. Riot Wednesdays (weekly event)
Enjoy live music and support local musicians each week. This week’s performers are reggae/rock band Sun-Dried Vibes. Alive After Five (weekly event)
After last week’s kickoff was postponed due to weather, the pent up excitement carries over to this week for the start of Charlotte’s most popular weekly, after-work event. Live music by 70s show band Right On (Motown, disco, funk). And there will be plenty of drink stations. Bottomless Wine Night (weekly event)
Each Thursday at this hip dessert bar and lounge you can choose from a great selection of wines and drink all you want for $20.
