Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving in Charlotte

Save the stress for Christmas and opt for a hot Thanksgiving dinner prepared by someone else. With the Novant Health Thanksgiving Parade—the southeast's largest—kicking off its 70th year on the Queen City's streets, there's no reason to slave over the kitchen stove or ruin your nails doing dishes. Bring your family and friends to one of these Charlotte restaurants open on Thanksgiving—they're serving up holiday classics as well as tasty renditions—it could be the start of a new tradition! (Just be sure to make reservations; these dining spots will likely be in high-demand next Thursday.)

5Church

Address: 127 N. Tryon St.

Cost: $45 per guest, $20 for kids under 12. Optional wine pairings are either $6 per course or $15 for all three courses.

What's for dinner: There will be a Prix-fix menu.

First course: Ginger squash soup
Second course will be a choice of the following:
- Roasted turkey breast with confit stuffing, roasted and caramelized haricot verts, and natural jus
- Bourbon-glazed ham with whipped sweet potatoes, roasted sunchokes, gremolata, and sorghum
- Seared sea scallops with apple-celery root puree, walnut spätzle, compressed apples, and sage gastrique ($5 extra)

Sullivan's Steakhouse Charlotte

Thanksgiving dinner hours: 5 to 11 p.m.

What's for dinner: There will be a three-course, Prix-fix menu, featuring elevated takes on traditional items. Those seeking a non-traditional Thanksgiving meal can enjoy select items from Sullivan’s dinner menu such as the Crispy Shanghai Calamari, Bone-In Cowboy Cut Ribeye, and Salmon Rockefeller.

Thanksgiving dinner hours: 2 to 7 p.m.

What's for dinner: The fall-themed menu offers much room for individual preference as you can choose between options for your first course, side dish, and dessert. The signature a la carte will also be available. Guests can reserve The Palm’s private dining space to enjoy a custom holiday celebration.

First course will be a choice of the following:
- Lobster bisque made with fresh lobster meat, cream, and sherry
- Roasted butternut squash bisque with apple cider crème fraîche
- Baby kale, radicchio, and apple salad topped with candied pecans, crispy pancetta, and shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano tossed in maple vinaigrette
- *Classic Caesar salad or Andy’s mixed green salad is available upon request
Second course: Herb-roasted, hand-carved turkey served with home-style dressing, homemade cranberry sauce, and traditional giblet gravy

- Roasted organic turkey with pecan stuffing, cranberry-orange sauce, and rosemary gravy
- Slow-roasted prime rib served with garlic confit jus and a caramelized onion and bacon-stuffed popover
- Seared Scottish salmon with potato-leek hash and lemon brown butter
Dessert will be a choice of the following:

- Butternut squash bisque with toasted pecans and cinnamon crème fraîche
- Caesar salad with herbed croutons and shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano
Second course: Joyce Farms all-natural white turkey breast and confit legs served with house-made pork sausage stuffing, roasted brussels sprouts, sweet potato soufflé, fresh cranberry sauce, and pan jus gravy
Third course: Pumpkin cheesecake with Chantilly cream
