![]() Ingredients: Roasted butternut squash purée, Honeycup mustard, country ham (very thinly sliced), pickled pear, sharp white ched- dar cheese, fresh spinach, crisp-tender asparagus, and multigrain bread — layered and pressed in a panini grill Inspiration: “While the heart of the sandwich is a Southern ingredient (country ham), when blended with the other diverse ingredients (like the Vermont white cheddar), the sandwich becomes unique, sophisti- cated, quirky, and delicious. Charlotte is a Southern city, certainly, but it welcomes people and ideas from around the country and the world.” |
Ingredients: A bialy with bacon, turkey, Muenster cheese, smoked cheddar, onions, banana peppers, lettuce, sprouts, and salt and pepper Inspiration: “I chose this because all of the flavors are so different but work so well together, just like the diverse population in Charlotte.” |
![]() Ingredients: House- made pimento cheese, red cabbage, shredded carrots, alfalfa sprouts, banana peppers, red onion, red pepper, and tomato on thick nine-grain bread
Inspiration: “I chose this sandwich because I feel Charlotte is very unique in the way that it still has its Southern roots but also a lot more contemporary influences due to the massive amount of people that move here from up north or even the west side of the country. Pimento cheese is such a Southern food and is often overlooked. This sandwich |
