Style News Roundup

Style loving Charlotteans have had a lot to keep them busy these last few weeks. Last night the Girls Night Out Fashion Show benefiting the Ronald McDonald House rocked The Atrium in Uptown, meanwhile the Best of the Best in shopping, style, body and soul partied it up over at the Charlotte Magazine Best of the Best Awards party at SouthPark Mall.

Next week, models will strut the Catwalk for a Cause at the River Run Country Club in Davidson to benefit the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation, started by NASCAR driver Truex and long-time girlfriend, Sherry Pollex, owner of Lavendar Boutique. Lavendar is joining forces with Bella Ropa and Dot’s Women’s Wear to fill the runway with cute looks and there’s also a silent auction in store where you can score great spa treatments,  handbags, accessories, and entertainment packages.  Tickets are $75 and are completely tax deductible. Ticket price includes food and some of your drinks as well!

In a bit of sad news, we received word that Center of the Earth Gallery will be closing its doors at the end of May. They will soon be returning the artwork in their space to the artists who created it, so if you were ever thinking about purchasing a piece, now is the time to stop ruminating and go for it.  We loved the quality and spirit that Center of the Earth brought to the Charlotte arts community and to the NoDa gallery scene and we are sincerely sad to see them go!
